Chichester Creative Network was originally created by Lorrie Whittington, a Chichester based Artist and Designer in September 2010. Lorrie had been editor of the Chichester hub of Creative Boom magazine for about a year. When the magzine took a new direction, she felt it was time a local resource was created that specifically supported the creative needs and endeavors of those in her area, whether organisations or individuals, and Chichester Creative Network was born.
Kate Lassetter, a local girl and successful writer/copywriter joined Lorrie about a year later and became a permanent features writer for CCN. Kate’s involvement was invaluable and her input added to the success of the magazine, including the organisation of Chichester Creative Network’s first Craft Fair held in Cobnor, Christmas 2011.
More recently, two new members have joined the team, including Isabel Kendrick and Louise Knight-Richardson. This is very exciting for us, and we welcome Isabel and Louise to the CCN team.
Isabel hails from Ireland originally and settled in the area some years ago, and raised her family in the area. A popular character and active within her local community, Isabel is a keen photographer and a successful freelance writer.
Louise is a locally based fashion designer, maker and photographer, and well know for her beautiful creations and photography as well as her craft tutorials.
We are always looking to add more writers to the team. If you are a locally based creative type with an interest in the arts in our area and have a proven track record of writing or blogging, and want to be involved, then get in touch with us.
