This month’s Open Mic Poetry will see Geoffrey Winch opening the evening with poems from Letting the Road Dust Settle (Indigo Dreams) and his back catalogue on 29th February.
Geoffrey recently received the award of the Purple Patch UK Best Small Press Poet 2011 and his work is very wide-ranging. Lynn Woollacot, of Reach Poetry, said of Geoffrey’s last collection, Letting the Road Dust Settle, “From starting on the open road to checking in at the end, if you decide to buy a ticket, you won’t be disappointed.”
As always, Open Mic Poetry at New Park Centre, Chichester, offers an opportunity for creative writers of any subject or style to share their work with others who have an interest in contemporary poetry. As it is the month of love, why not indulge the object of your affection with an ode? If public declarations are not your thing, you are just as welcome to enjoy listening to the poetry of others.
We hope to see you at the Studio, New Park Centre, Chichester, Wednesday 29th February, 7.45pm. Admission is just £3 and there will be a bar open during the interval for refreshments. Please call: 07813244731 or email: chipoetry@yahoo.co.uk for further information.
