Autumn Vintage

Violet & Fraiser Store of Vintage was formed in January 2011 by mother and daughter duo, Alex and Paula.  As dedicated connoisseurs of unique collectables, Violet & Fraiser was created to seek out and provide those special finds for others, as vintage has gained in popularity.

Vintage is a way of life for these collectors of the distinctive and refined. Their contrasting vintage passions complement each other well, forging an eclectic wardrobe of spectacular garments. Searching for one-off pieces is a passion for these women, travelling high and low to find the most spectacular vintage clothing.

Violet & Fraiser specialise in original vintage 40s, 50s & 60s clothing and accessories for women.  All are carefully hand-picked by Alex and Paula. The period for which they have a  particular weakness is the 1950s.  Alex’s appeal for 1950s dresses is their distinctive  ‘uniqueness and craftsmanship’. Violet and Fraiser purchase one off items only.  They also stock a range of vintage furniture and home ware, which complement the period of the garments perfectly. The aim of Violet & Fraiser is to provide the best examples of period women’s dressmaking and tailoring. They ensure every item is cared for, cleaned and restored back to its original state for their customers.

All of their fabulous pieces can be found within their unique Horndean surroundings. Currently exhibiting in their pop up boutique, you can experience a personal service where you can acquire one of their beautiful dresses amongst friendly company, whilst  enjoying refreshment and cake, if you are lucky to arrive on a day Paula has baked.

Alex and Paula say  ‘We regularly participate in vintage markets, its great to see other vintage sellers and people who want to learn about vintage dressmaking’..

Violet & Fraiser are now taking appointments at their boutique for the coming winter season. So get your self one of their immaculate winter coats or a gorgeous cocktail dress for the coming Christmas festivities.
