Chichester Creative Network is organising its first event – a Christmas Craft Fair, taking place at Cobnor Activities Centre, Chidham, nr Chichester on Saturday 10th December, from 10.00 until 17.00. We’re looking for local creatives to come and sell their Christmas Crafts!

Cobnor is a little gem of a venue nestled down a country lane, just opposite the Bosham Inn. We chose it as the venue because the creatives that attended Katy’s Writer’s Retreat there last month found the surroundings of Chichester Harbour truly inspirational. As Cobnor’s right by the water we also have the opportunity to run special Christmas themed boat trips, that we’re sure will be a hit with children (of all ages).

As Cobnor’s just outside Chichester we can offer local creatives a chance to exhibit and sell their wares with the benefit of a more affordable pitch price. This also means those visiting the Craft Fair can enjoy a relaxing couple of hours looking for gifts without being hurried along by the hustle and bustle of frantic City shoppers.

We are aiming to have 15-20 pitches, allocated on a first come, first served basis. We are anticipating a good range of crafts, from food and photography to textiles and jewellery, to make sure that there’s something to please everyone.

Here are some of the highlights that we have lined up so far:

  • Local Crafts from DillyWorm Crafts and others
  • Boat rides with the Cobnor Elves around Chichester Harbour
  • Hand and Foot massages from Lesley Brown Clinical Aromatherapy
  • Warming homemade soup and sausages in rolls
  • Mulled wine, mince pies and homemade cakes
  • Acoustic Christmas Music
  • Readings from local authors and more…

Each individual pitch (one business per pitch) is 4 x 4 ft and costs just £20. Tables can also be rented from Cobnor Activities Centre for an additional £5.
