On Tuesday 26th July you are invited to Marine Park Gardens’ first ever Garden Fayre for a fun-packed creative day out beside the seaside!
This award winning park will host a range of entertainments and stalls within its original 1930s shelters. The aim is to make use of these shelters for creativity and fun and to reclaim them from anti-social users.
The Garden Fayre not only takes place at the beginning of the summer holidays, providing the perfect opportunity to get out and about and do something creative with the kids, but it has also been chosen to coincide with, and celebrate, national Love Parks Week.
Within the beautiful setting of Mediterranean style gardens, from 10.00 am – 3.00 pm, the whole family will have the chance to enjoy:
- Creative willow workshops
- Making shooting stars, dream catchers and bird feeders
- Having hands and feet printed onto hand painted ceramics with Garage Ceramics
- Performances from the Root and Branch theatre with an opportunity for children to dress up in costumes
- Soaking up the history in the seaside park with the help of Bognor Regis museum and BR seafront lights who will be displaying historical photographs
- Browsing vintage textiles and ceramics
- Crafted wares from local crafts people such as DillyWorm Crafts
- Finding out more about the Arts in Action network
- Meeting the local Friends groups and taking part in their tombola to help them raise money for improvements to the park
You will find Marine Park Gardens on: Marine Drive West, Bognor Regis, West Sussex, PO21 2QA. We hope to see you there and look forward to many more local creative events such as this!
