The country’s best selling Sci-Fi magazine ‘SFX‘ has just had a shiny new redesign, it looks fab and is on sale on Monday.

Below the video highlighting the fab new design, is the front cover of the very first SFX issue released in 1995. I bought that issue (do I have it now? Sadly…no!), and in fact I bought every issue for the first five years or more. I was a huge Sci-Fi fangirl in those days, and bought all the Sci-Fi and Fantasy magazines that were available at the time, including Cult Times, Dreamwatch etc. However, SFX magazine was my favourite and stood the test of time.  Despite the loss of all my original issues, I do still have many that go back years, and I enjoy re-reading them even now (ahhh, I still miss Buffy). I am proud to say that I attended the first ever SFX Event held in Blackpool in 2002.

In my view, 16 years later, SFX  is the only Sci-fi magazine that  has maintained the high quality articles, features and interviews that was its trademark all those years ago,  and not for nothing is it the UK’s highest selling Sci-Fi magazine.

Sadly, it’s been a long time since I was able to attend an SFX Weekender, but maybe next year huh. If you want a look at how that went, then check this out, and don’t forget to go out and buy the new issue on Monday.
