The Book Ferret opened its doors to customers on Saturday 28th August. The new shop, which can be found at 34 High Street, offers readers a bountiful selection of high quality new titles.

The shop is owned and managed by Sarah Meadham who is thrilled to open in Arundel and says ‘ the plans for the shop have been met with enthusiasm and the community has been extremely welcoming.’

The inspiration behind the name is a combination of Sarah’s love of ferrets and passion for books, but she also explains ‘’Ferreting out’ means hunting & finding and I am looking forward to ferreting out all the best books on all subjects for the customers to enjoy.’

The Book Ferret, which previously was an antiques shop, will be open 7 days a week with Sarah as the sole member of staff. Sarah decided to pursue the dream of owning her own bookshop after recently being made redundant due to a bookshop closure in Worthing. Sarah has over 12 years’ bookselling experience and 3 ferrets.

Readers can keep up to date with the Book Ferret’s news, activities and events by visiting the website, Facebook page and twitter.
